Come join pelvic floor physical therapist Dr. Nidhi Patel Zinn as she discusses all things pelvic and musculoskeletal health for pregnancy.
We will go over pelvic floor muscles, physical and postural changes that happen during pregnancy, common musculoskeletal conditions that occur during this time, intimacy during pregnancy, general exercise guidelines and how to incorporate movement and physical therapy interventions into your pregnancy. We will also discuss red flags to look out for during exercising while pregnant. There will be a movement and practical portion of this so wear clothes you can move in.
Nidhi Patel received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017 and has been practicing in Athens ever since. She specializes in orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapy. She has spent countless hours in courses, trainings, and interdisciplinary meetings. She is a post natal fitness specialist and loves to work with women to help them achieve their goals after having a baby. "It's really important to make sure that I am treating the whole body. I look at the person holistically, making sure that I ask about their diet, movement, sexual/bowel/bladder function, and their overall goals." Nidhi's passion is to improve movement patterns and patient's function through posture retraining, manual therapy techniques, dry needling, and neuromuscular reeducation. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling.
