Answering Difficult Questions

Wednesday, November 6th 10-11 am
  • This class will focus on strategies to be able to answer different types of questions children ask.
  • The types of questions are Information-seeking, am I normal?, personal, shock, and value-based. 
  • Learn best practices for answering difficult questions in age-appropriate, accurate, and affirming ways about sex organs, puberty, gender, sexual preference, relationships, school safety, and anything on their minds.
  • Understand what it means to be a trusted adult and how to leverage parent-child communication as trust building.

Harley McCullar joined the PPSE team in April, 2024. They are a sexuality educator specialized in delivering inclusive, comprehensive, and science-based sex education from consent to LGBTQ2IA+ inclusion.

Harley delivers accessible sex education content to Spanish and English-speaking families and youth as well as professional development workshops to organizations in the Gwinnett County, GA area. Harley’s role centers on expanding access to accurate and inclusive Spanish sex education for parents and families.
