Chinyere "Chi" Ezukanma, LMSW

Chinyere is a Licensed Master Social Worker and it would be her pleasure to partner with you on your journey to wellness and wholeness.

There is nothing quite like a safe space to just be and heal. Chinyere would love to provide that for you as we unpack challenges such as stress management, anxiety, depression, relationship matters, parenthood, trauma, and life and career transitions, among others. Having an incredible mother who has spent most of her almost 30 year nursing career as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, and becoming a mother herself fostered a desire in her to also become more proficient in supporting other women in their journey to and through motherhood.

As a first-generation Nigerian-American, Chinyere is especially passionate about holding space for those who identify as immigrants, children of immigrants and undocumented citizens to work through the often complex acculturation experiences and unique stresses they may face. Chinyere focuses on offering therapeutic support to women and teen girls (particularly those of color) using a trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive, and strengths-based approach, while employing therapeutic modalities such as Client-Centered, Narrative, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies.

Chinyere earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington, and a Master of Social Work degree in Clinical Health/Mental Health from Clark Atlanta University. She is currently working toward full clinical licensure, and will be under the supervision of Kimberly Mayes, LCSW.

Chinyere believes so much in the transformative power of therapy and mental health and wellness, and that every person has the innate ability to heal and nurture themselves with the right support. Chinyere is eager to simply meet you where you are on your journey and work together to realize the best version of YOU.
