TheraMama Peer Support We believe no mother should feel alone during her transition into or during her motherhood journey. reBlossom is so happy to offer a free, peer support program to help connect new parents, during their pregnancies and postpartum journeys, with other experienced parents.
In Greek "thera" means healer, our TheraMamas are peers with basic training on postpartum mental health, strategies & parenting resources. You will be matched up with one TheraMama, who will offer check-ins throughout pregnancy (when applicable) and the postpartum period up to the 18th month of a child’s life in the form of texts, emails, phone calls, video chats, or safe in-person visits.
We know that postpartum depression and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, including anxiety, OCD & PTSD are more common than we know, occur anytime within the first postpartum year or beyond, and affect both mothers and fathers. No longer a new mama? No problem! We know that postpartum mental health issues may arise after subsequent births, traumas, or changing life experiences. These services are available to anyone struggling during their "postpartum."
TheraMamas are not professionals, but are mothers who offer peer support. They should not be used instead of professional support or a doctor. Please see our Therapy page if you would like to seek professional support.Â
