Cundy Bryson WELLNESS COACH
Cundy is a Somatic Therapist and a Wellness Advocate. Her private studio and office is located in a retreat-like, wooded setting in Watkinsville. It is there that she coaches and guides her clients in movement, mindful breathing, yoga, journaling practices and wellness in regards to deep rest, nutrition and what it means to live an embodied life. She also supports people in developing a daily sitting meditation practice with instruction that is grounded in over 25 years of experience in meditation and contemplative practices.
Her work is rooted in her Master's degree in Somatic Psychology from Naropa University. She received her degree in 1994 and has since received training and certifications in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Yin Yoga, Pre and Post Natal Yoga and in 2010 she became a certified Birth Doula through DONA International. She practiced as a doula until 2016.
Recently her work is inspired by the work of Gabor Mate' and his dedication to addiction recovery, trauma and Compassionate Inquiry. She is also interested in Internal Family Systems Therapy and will soon study with founding contemporary psychotherapist, Richard Schwartz. The works of Tara Brach, Sharon Salzberg and Jack Kornfield continue to be a part of Cundy's repertoire and personal growth.
Cundy is invested in offering a multidisciplinary approach to wellness and healing. Her clients are also students of their own lives, incorporating her offerings as they set goals with compassion and gentleness toward themselves.
Cundy works with Athens Parent Wellbeing to offer our Blossoming Parents wellness coaching sessions to lighten their load, guide them with purpose and help them live their fullest lives.
