Often clients come to me saying that they “know” why they are hurting, what happened to them or that they understand the connections, but that doesn’t change their feelings or deep seated beliefs. It’s like you know it in your mind but your body and spirit are not so easily convinced. Or you haven’t been able to integrate this wisdom just yet. That is what we will work on together.

When we go through painful experiences or relationships, it sometimes teaches us to believe something limiting, negative and UNTRUE about ourselves. I want to find out what those beliefs are and what happened to convince you of them. I want to discover what you truly believe! Maybe you can even start to treat yourself with the kindness and compassion you currently reserve for others.

Therapy with me is collaborative, so the way we do that is we create a supportive environment where you feel safe exploring your thoughts and feelings.  We notice and acknowledge your needs and wants.  Any expression of gender, spirituality, neurotype or identity will be affirmed, honored and respected equally here. I offer the most gentle trauma therapy I can by centering your needs in every moment.

I am trained in and frequently use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), parts work and somatic techniques. I can incorporate yoga and meditation. I will ask for consent for everything!  I take a holistic approach, which means we listen to and tend to your whole self: body, mind, breath, emotions and spirit.
