Heather Clark is a founding board member for Athens Parent Wellbeing and serves as Secretary for the organization. She has lived in the Athens area since 2005. As mama to three little girls and a survivor of postpartum depression and anxiety, she felt a strong connection to the mission of Athens Parent Wellbeing.

Kelly grew up in Columbia, SC, moved to Bloomington, IN for grad school (where she met her husband), and has been in Athens since 2015. They have two children, ages 5.5 and 7, and their lives have not stopped since finding out that she was pregnant (unexpectedly) with their first.

Addie moved to Athens in 2022 and has lived throughout the US including New Jersey, New Hampshire, Chicago, and most recently, Los Angeles. Having a child during the pandemic has helped her learn first-hand the importance of parental mental health.

Lindsey Hughes has been a part of the Athens community for the last 16 years. She is a mama to two boys. Her first birth was anything but empowering, sending her into the world of birth work after surviving PPD/PPA. She became a fierce advocate of support and education throughout the perinatal period, certifying as a Labor Doula in 2015 and a Certified Professional Midwife in 2022.

Valerie is a licensed professional counselor who has been practicing for 13 years. She is a mom to a 4 year old boy and 3 year old girl. Her heart has always been to serve people. She is now able to do that professionally and as a mom. APW has been a huge support for her as she started her journey into motherhood. Valeria would love to continue this work through the monthly maternal mental health group and with the board.
